A testing we will go, a testing we will go...

We are very blessed to have my bestie, Melissa, on our lives. She has made such a big difference in the quality of care we have been able to get for Rudy. She not only recommended his oncologist, Dr. Suki, but  where he got the original CT Scan done. So where did it end....oh yes! So immediately upon finding out that his Primary wanted him to see an oncologist I immediately contact Melissa. She got me names and I started calling. Dr Suki was the first one on the list and his office was extremely responsive and got us in 2 days later.

At this point, my mind is racing and I'm freaking out a bit but inside...I know that I have to be strong for Rudy and make sure that Diego doesn't think that anything is wrong. All I can keep telling myself is to think positive...think positive...

The day of our appointment arrives and the doctor orders a PET Scan (no its not a scan for dogs...and yes I think that if we turned on a black light Rudy's insides would glow) and more blood work...He starts Rudy on a strong antibiotic and gives us his best guess....its some type of infection...

At this point we haven't told anyone that Rudy is going to the doctor or what the original CT Scan showed...those that know Rudy, know how private he is (hell he's not exactly jumping up and down with me blogging our journey) plus its like do we tell people and make them worry for nothing or wait too long and then family get pissed because you don't share soon enough....its definitely a catch 22.

We set up an appointment to see him the Tuesday following his 1st oncology appointment for the results
