Well things have been hectic around here these last six months! Diego had his sinuplasty surgery - it was extremly successful and we haven't (knock on wood) had a sinus infection since. He is growing up soo fast! It seemed like just yesterday we was learning his first words and now he's talking up a storm. Its interesting to hear the things he says - the innocence and literacy is refreshing.
We've been busy visiting the grandparents in San Antonio and Portland. Diego even got to fly in Tato's (my dad) plane! He had a blast...I think Tato did as well :o)
The big news is that I'm moving on to my next assignment as of July 1! I will begin working at the Baytown Refinery Complex as an HR Advisor. For those "non-ExxonMobil" folk, the Baytown Refinery Complex is ExxonMobil's largest US refinery. As many of you know I started my HR career (right out of undergrad) in a manufacturing environment and I'm really excited to get back to that type of environment. It will also allow me to interact with different labor unions and work on that competency area. While I am really going to miss interacting with my CORS family on a daily basis, one thing I've learned is: "Once in CORS, Always in CORS".
Thats it for now - drop us a line and let us know how it is in your neck of the woods!
Love,
The Mendoza Family
