As you can tell by the heading they have moved up the delivery date. I was at the doctor's office yesterday and again this morning and based on the amount of protein in my urine (over 4+), my edema, and my blood pressure (158/92) they have decided that they can't wait till next week to deliver. It seems that the preeclampsia is taking it's toll on me more than the baby as all the tests being done to check the health of the baby are coming back excellent.
Luckily my parents decided to go ahead and leave today from San Antonio so they will be in town by tomorrow. (Yes you heard correctly, they are driving! Crazy but true!) So they will be here for the "big day", Thursday. It's funny at first the doctor couldn't decide if he wanted to do it today or Thursday and all I could think about was how bummed I was going to be if it was today because I had been craving a Caribou coffee (like Starbucks) and was planning on having one after my appointment today - boy are my priorities in order!
I can't believe the time is almost here, it seems like just yesterday we learned I was pregnant. While this pregnancy hasn't been exactly smooth sailing, I wouldn't change anything as the end result is SOOO worth all the complications. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
