Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. We had the pleasure of having Easter brunch with my friend Lena, her husband Kyle, their daughters Lila (8 months old) and Bryanna, and Kyle's parents. We had a wonderful time with lots of great food and conversation. We also took lots of pictures of Diego in his Easter outfit and with the dinosaur his Abuelo and Abuela Aguirre sent him for Easter.

Things have been busy around here. Diego and I are getting into a daily routine and enjoying the time we have left before I go back to work. Yesterday was an important day, Diego smiled for the first time (at least 1 not associated with gas)! It amazes me that something as small as learning to smile could make me feel like my heart is going to explode with such joy and love. Every day I'm amazed at how much love I feel for him. You hear all the time about the love a parent feels for their child but until you become a parent yourself you can't truly understand the what this really means. I feel extremely blessed, even on his crankiest day and running on 3 hours of sleep.
